Content Policy
This policy describes what may and may not be uploaded, listed, sold, or shared on Devdazzle. It applies to every piece of content you put on the platform: product files, previews, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, portfolio items, profile media, project deliverables, and messages.
How people are expected to behave is covered separately in the Community Rules. This page covers content. The warranties you give about your content, and your responsibility for it, are set out in the Seller Agreement; this policy is the Prohibited Content Schedule referenced there.
You are responsible for everything you upload. By uploading content you confirm that it complies with this policy and with all applicable laws.
You must hold the rights to what you upload
You may only upload content that you created yourself or that you are clearly licensed and authorized to sell or share. When you list an item, you warrant that you own or hold all rights necessary to offer it, and that it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights.
This means you must not upload:
- Work created by someone else and presented as your own.
- Counterfeit, pirated, cracked, ripped, datamined, extracted, or leaked material.
- Assets, characters, logos, brands, or trademarks owned by a third party, unless you have written authorization to distribute them.
- Stock content, templates, or other people's files that you do not have the right to resell.
- Content generated by tools whose terms do not permit commercial resale of the output.
- Free content from elsewhere, or private-label and resale-rights material, repackaged and sold as your own without the right to do so.
If you believe your work has been listed by someone else without permission, file a notice through the Copyright Report form. Verified infringement is removed and access to it is revoked.
Prohibited content
The following are not allowed anywhere on the platform, regardless of how they are labeled or priced.
Illegal content
Anything that is unlawful under the laws that apply to you or to the buyer. This includes stolen data, leaked databases, credentials, access to hacked accounts, and any file whose purpose is to enable a crime.
Child safety
Zero tolerance. Any material that sexualizes a minor, real or fictional, drawn, rendered, or simulated, is strictly forbidden. We remove it immediately, preserve the relevant records, terminate the account, and report it to the competent authorities. There is no appeal for this category.
Counterfeit and forged documents
Counterfeit goods and forged or fraudulent documents. This includes fake or templated identity documents, passports, driver's licenses, diplomas, certificates, official seals, and currency, as well as replica or knock-off branded merchandise. Content whose purpose is to help someone forge, fake, or misuse an official document or identity is not allowed.
Fraudulent, high-risk, and restricted-business content
Content built to deceive people out of money, or that falls into a business category we cannot lawfully process payments for. This includes:
- Gambling, lotteries, betting, and pay-to-enter prize schemes.
- Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, chain letters, and get-rich-quick or guaranteed-return offers.
- Money transmission, money orders, currency exchange, and other quasi-cash or stored-value instruments.
- Products marketed primarily as cryptocurrency, tokens, or speculative investments.
Because we collect payment on your behalf as the seller of record, your content must also satisfy the rules of the payment providers we use, which prohibit certain business categories outright. Anything we are unable to process a payment for cannot be sold here.
Sexual and mature content
Mature or adult artistic content is permitted only where it is lawful and only when it is accurately labeled using the adult-content setting at the time you list it. Mislabeling adult content as general content is a violation in itself.
The following remain prohibited even when labeled:
- Any depiction of minors as described above.
- Content depicting non-consensual acts, or that is produced or shared without the consent of the people shown.
- Content used to harass, threaten, or extort a real person.
Some payment methods and some countries restrict adult content. Where that applies, the platform may limit how such content is sold, displayed, or paid for.
Graphic violence, gore, or otherwise shocking content made mainly to disturb is treated the same way: where it is allowed at all, it must be labeled as mature. Artistic, educational, or historical works are judged in context, so a classical nude statue or an anatomical study is not treated as adult content on its own.
Hateful, violent, and extremist content
Content that attacks, dehumanizes, or incites violence against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or another protected characteristic. Content that praises, promotes, or provides material support to terrorist or violent extremist groups.
Malware and harmful code
Files that contain or install malware, viruses, spyware, ransomware, keyloggers, or credential stealers. Cheats, exploits, or tools whose purpose is to break the security or terms of another service. Guides, manuals, or kits whose purpose is to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data. Any file engineered to harm a buyer's device or data.
Weapons and regulated goods
Files or instructions designed for the manufacture of functional firearms, firearm components, explosives, or other regulated weapons. Listings offering drugs, controlled substances, or other goods whose sale is restricted by law. Clearly non-functional artistic, game, or decorative weapon models are not covered by this restriction.
Likeness, deepfakes, and synthetic media
Content that uses a real, identifiable person's face, voice, or likeness without their consent, and synthetic or generated media that depicts a real person saying or doing something they did not, especially where it is sexual, defamatory, or designed to mislead. If your content shows an identifiable person or private property, for example a scan, photo, or portrait, you must hold the releases needed to sell it.
Content that violates the privacy of others
Personal or identifying information about another person published without their consent, including home address, phone number, private email, identity documents, or financial details. Material assembled to dox, stalk, or expose someone. Content that is false and damaging to a real person's reputation.
Deceptive, misleading, or low-quality listings
- Files that do not match what the listing describes.
- Empty, placeholder, corrupt, or deliberately incomplete files.
- Previews or thumbnails that misrepresent what the buyer receives, including using someone else's renders as previews of your own work.
- Listings created to bait, mislead, or manipulate search and discovery.
Where content is created or assisted by generative tools and that materially affects what is being sold, you must disclose it. The inputs and training material behind such content must themselves be lawfully sourced.
Spam and manipulation
Bulk, duplicate, or junk listings, keyword stuffing, and any attempt to manipulate ranking, reviews, or discovery. Conduct-related manipulation is covered further in the Community Rules.
Previews, titles, and metadata
Everything visible on a listing is subject to this policy, not just the file being sold. A compliant file with an infringing thumbnail, a misleading title, or prohibited tags is still a violation.
How we enforce this policy
We review content that is reported to us and content flagged by our automated checks. Depending on what we find and what came before, we may:
- Remove or unpublish the content.
- Restrict specific features of an account, such as listing or payouts.
- Suspend the account temporarily.
- Permanently remove the account and revoke access to associated content.
When content is merely unpublished for an ordinary reason, people who already purchased it generally keep access to their downloads, as described in our Refund Policy. This is different for content removed because it is unlawful or infringing: that content is taken down fully and access to it is revoked, including for earlier buyers, because we cannot lawfully continue to distribute it.
Serious cases, including child safety, fraud, malware, and threats, result in immediate removal without prior warning. Our decisions are recorded with the account, and repeated violations can escalate to more serious action over time.
Reporting and appeals
If you see content that breaks this policy, use the report option on the relevant listing, profile, or item. For intellectual property and copyright matters, use the Copyright Report form, which has its own tracked process. For anything else you can email [email protected].
If your content or account is restricted and you believe it was a mistake, reply to the notice you received or email [email protected] with your username and a short explanation. We will review the decision and respond. The child safety category is the one exception and is not subject to appeal.
